R&B singer Christina Milian is set to make a music comeback after signing a new record deal with social networking site MySpace.

The sexy star was dropped by her former label, Def Jam, in 2006 reportedly due to poor sales of her third studio LP So Amazin' - which shifted just 163,000 in the U.S.

But the star is determined to make a triumphant return to the industry - and is adamant MySpace Records will help her on her way to the top of the charts.

She tells Billboard magazine, "I've been out of the game for one and a half years, and I think I'm long overdue for a comeback, so I'm treating this album like it's my last chance to make an impression. I'm competing with myself and being very detailed.

"Before, I had a label telling me what direction to go in. Now, it's my choice, so I'm being very particular about it and I'm really excited."

The 26-year-old's new track Us Against The World will be released on October 6

Beyonce Knowles and The Police are the richest musicians according to a poll in Forbes magazine to find the World’s Best Paid Music Stars.

The Police came top after pocketing a hefty $115 million over the past 12 months.

Beyonce is next up with her impressive dollar stack of $80 million, compared with Madonna's $40 million earnings.

The rockers were crowned as the wealthiest when their reunion tour shows brought in $28.3 million alone.

Other stars who have money rolling in include Justin Timberlake ($44 million) and new mum Gwen Stefani ($27 million).

Last month there were reports circulating the net that Rihanna got shafted by one of her business managers and that she was going broke. According to Rihanna, those reports were nothing but a rumor because she is "too business minded to be broke."

“You can’t get away from the business side. It takes over. The minute you get into the business side, it becomes you.I get business reports all the time because it’s my money. And I stay on top by living it, breathing it, thinking about it every day and every night,” said Rihanna.

Rihanna is set to follow in the footsteps of fellow pop star Gwen Stefani and launch her own clothing range

RiRi, who is a frequent front-row guest at runway shows, has confirmed she is working on her own designs.

She has already dabbled in the accessories industry - she put her name to a range of umbrellas earlier this year to coincide with her international hit of the same name.

She tells fashion publication WWD, "I can't say when it will be released, but it's definitely going to happen. I'm not one to rush into anything. I want to take my time."

Earlier this year, Rihanna hinted she was pondering a fashion line, saying, "There might be a clothing
line on the horizon, maybe underwear."

RiRi has also previously teamed up with retail chain H&M to design a range of casualwear as part of the Fashion Against Aids campaign.
